Here's a couple methods to add maps to your profile.
First method is if you have FOG
- First step is to refresh 'Hits By State'. Go to 'Your Bills', you should see a menu system that looks kind of like:
- Be sure you see the 'hand' icon next to 'Hits by State Map'.. If those are not there, you either do not have FOG or you need to refresh the page.
Enter the 'Hits by State' area by clicking on 'Click for Report'.
-
Once in 'Hits by State', click on the link at the top of the page to run the report.
The report could take several minutes to complete. If you double click on the status link, it should tell you if the report has been run, or still needs to be run.
After the report has run, go back to 'Your Bills' report.
- At this point, your 'Hits by State' report should have ran.
Now enter 'Hits by State Map' by clicking on 'Click for Report'
-
Once in the 'Hits by State Map' area, you should see an area where you can define the number of hits required for each level. For now, just keep the default. Go ahead and click on 'Get a hit map'.
- You should now see your map with legend. The next step will add the map to your profile.
- The absolute easiest way is to click the button I've pointed to. This will put the map and legend into your profile.
- You only have to add the map once.
-
When you want to update the map, go into 'Hits by State' and refresh that report. After Hits by State is refreshed, go into 'Hits by State Map' and click on 'Get a hit map'.
The second way, create your own map.
Here's a link to a site to create your own color coded maps.monarch.tamu.edu/~maps2
After you create a map on that site, they'll give you a URL to your map. Puthe URL in your profile.
